From Snowbird Pass the magnificence of the Robson Glacier is in full view. As we scaled the moraine which skirts the valley below, the glacier seems to pour out from the summit of Mount Robson, as though a giant brush has laid a stroke of ice below us. On this particular day, wildfire smoke envelops the landscape, diffusing the sunlight in a way that is both beautiful and foreboding; on a late September afternoon, the glacier and its watershed are absolutely gushing.
